On my Wedding day I went to Sripuram temple near Vellore. Visit www.sripuram.org to get more details. My wife liked it not for its spiritual wisdom but more so for the 1.5 tonnes Gold being used to build the temple. The temple is beautiful- for me more than the grandeur of Gold it is the scenic location where the Temple is located - surronded by hills and the absolute tranquility it boasts off. I like the approach passage to the temple - star shaped en route to main hall where Goddess Lakshmi Narayani is there. Both the sides of the approach passage you find good sayings quoted from Gita and other religions. The Creator od this temple says that even one person changes his/her mind by following one of the many good sayings carved out there - the mission of this temple is accomplished. It is like giving medicine to the child which is bitter, but you sugar coat the medicine. Here it is the reverse!
