• Collaboration Portal for Oman Air

  Vishwak Solutions is happy to announce the completion of a Collaboration Portal using Microsoft SharePoint server that it designed and developed for Oman Air -  The national airline of the Sultanate of Oman. The Oman Air portal is developed to bring together as a collective platform the various operational and administration wings like Flight Operations, Navigation and Performance, Operations Control Center and others of Oman Air. It provides ease-of function and access, thus reducing operational and resource spend considerably. The portal facilitates the teams to work together effectively, collaborate on and publish documents, maintain tasks, share information through blogs, discussion forum and more. • Vishwak is proud to serve World Vision

  Vishwak is proud to be developing a Knowledge Management (KM) Portal for World Vision India, a Christian humanitarian organization that has more than 50 years of experience in India. Being an NGO with presence in 24 states across the country this KM portal initiative, once deployed  will help World Vision to connect its Knowledge workers. Using the KM portal they will meet in a common place  to exchange ideas, work progress, have better information about their programmes, get faster updates and more. • Vishwak develops Mahindra’s Homestays portal

  Vishwak developed this state of the art travel portal for Mahindra Homestays. Vishwak used its Rapid Web development model to deliver the portal in record time. The portal was built on Microsoft SharePoint Server 2007 platform and Vishwak integrated SharePoint with external systems – TALISMA and with a 3rd party Payment Gateway. The Homestay portal is a showpiece travel site with extremely user friendly and a pleasing design. The holiday planning tool is designed to provide an interactive information display and helps the users to choose a location to spend their holidays. Google Map (Web 2.0) integration is included to provide the user to interact directly and select the location and the variety of 'activities' available at the location. • Amway India web portal running on MS Commerce Server

  Amway, the direct selling FMCG major has recently launched their e-commerce web portal for India at www.amway.in. The portal has facilities for consumers to access Amway's product information and for the 4 Lakh+ ABOs (Amway Business Owners) around the country to know about their business and orders at any time. The user-friendly website automates the workflow and avoids traveling in person to pick orders from warehouses for the ABOs. The portal has been designed and implemented by Microsoft on the Microsoft .NET platform including Windows Server 2008, SQL Server 2008, BizTalk Server 2006 and Microsoft Commerce Server 2007. Vishwak's expertise in portal solutions has contributed to achieving NPC's vision for the portal in record time. NPC Portal is one of the first government body initiated global reference site on Productivity and Quality. We hope this Portal will help promote Productivity culture in India in a big way. • Vishwak deploys Karnataka State government portal

  The Karnataka government launched its official web portal, www.karunadu.gov.in on Thursday in Bangalore. Developed in association with Microsoft India, the portal will provide a single window access to information and services being provided by the various state departments and citizen utilities. Citizens can use the portal to fix up appointments with government officials, to monitor status of their files and to lodge complaints. Vishwak as the SI Partner for Microsoft was involved in the development and deployment of the project. • Vishwak develops Haryana Industrial Portal

  Recently government of Haryana in association with Microsoft India, has launched http://haryanaindustries.nic.in, thus becoming the first state in India to launch an industries portal. The portal was launched by the Chief Minister of Haryana, Bhupinder Singh Hooda, in the presence of Union Minister of Commerce and Industries, Kamal Nath. Vishwak has been involved with Microsoft in the development of this portal using Microsoft Office SharePoint 2007. With our deep experience in portal solutions and in SharePoint we have delivered the complete portal  in 2 months. The challenge in this portal was the Composite Application Form (CAF), which is a single window Industrial Interface. This interface provides a single point of contact and time bound clearance for establishment and operation of industrial undertakings. Besides CAF the portal features discussion forums where registered industries can start or participate in discussions on any subject of their interest. • Vishwak helps MNC Bank to migrate from Lotus Notes to Microsoft SharePoint

  Recently Vishwak migrated a leading Multinational Bank's application from Lotus Notes to Microsoft SharePoint Forms Server 2007. The bank had hundreds of custom applications built and running over the years on Lotus Notes 4.x platform. One of them included a form based application used for Project Management. The Bank's IT team was facing difficulties related to scalability and constant updates which were time consuming especially to test and deploy. They couldn't move to newer versions (or) any other alternate client software, both of which required they install new software on the client machines and the bank has a new policy of no new software/framework install on clients. Therefore the only option was a server application that works with standard Web Browsers on the client. Vishwak's team of SharePoint consultants worked on the situation and successfully migrated the application to Microsoft's Forms Server 2007 (based on Microsoft SharePoint Technology) and Windows WorkFlow Foundation(.NET Framework 3.0).
