Vishwak Labs brings you this four dimensional visual analysis of latest EarthQuake data from USGS. Engineers at Vishwak Labs have combined the latest EarthQuake data with the power of Google Motion Chart technology. Google Motion Chart is a dynamic chart control that allows to explore several indicators over time. The chart is rendered within the browser using Adobe Flash Plug-in. The latest earthquake data is near real-time and refreshed periodically.

MSN INDIA CRICKET WIDGET

Recently, Microsoft Corporation announced the availability of their MSN India Cricket Widget for Windows PCs as a free download from their website.

The Widget provides quick access to live scores for cricket matches, fixtures, results of past games, picture gallery and latest news on sports. Award function No.3 to honour Ten Year’s of service in Vishwak

Last year, at our India Development centre two of our senior managers completed their Ten Years of service in Vishwak, following that in November 2011 Mr.Ramesh Kumar completed his ten years in Vishwak. Today it was turn of Mr.Saranavan Pandurangan, Senior Software Engineer to complete his ten years of service in Vishwak. Congrats SaraP.

In the Indian IT Services Industry with its attrition rates and low affinity to one organization, Vishwak Solutions is proud to be having these outstanding individuals as part of its team.

Property Inspection Blackberry App

Vishwak Solutions developed this Blackberry App for a firm based in Great Lakes Region of United States. The Blackberry Mobile Application for ActMay Properties (name changed on client request) is for capturing data from  property job inspections. It is for their agent(s) on the move to be used on their Blackberry devices with GPS location information being tagged. Agent goes to particular address based on his Geo location. The application prompts the agents to ask questions to the user and stores the feedback from user. The application allows the agents to capture the photo of the property and upload to server with time and geo stamping. This application facilitates the Actmay Properties to validate their customer enquiries and feedback in a seamless easy to use process.

The App was written using Blackberry SDK 5.0 in Java and optimized for all recent Blackberry touch devices.

5 Elevens – Power Off

Following its previous innovative LIGHTS OUT CAMPAIGN’S 88888, 99999 and 5tens, this year ExNoRa’s campaign was something different altogether. The programme was titled as “5 Elevens – Power Off” , where the organizers asked companies & people to experiment hardships in switching off light, fan, A/c, refrigerator, TV and even lifts for 11 minutes at 11 am (forenoon) on the 11th day of the 11th month (November) in the 11th year of this millennium (2011).

Vishwak Solutions’ teams in our Chennai Dev Centre participated in this NASSCOM & EXNORA’s Climate change initiative today. All lights, Computers, Air Conditioners, Generators were turned off today for 11 minutes at November 11, 2011. We had a wonderful cooperation from the entire team.

Game for BlackBerry PlayBook

Vishwak is pleased to announce the availability of its game “Find the Missing Letters” for Blackberry’s new PlayBook Tablet. The game is aimed at kids aged 3-5 to make them learn words and their meanings. The game can be downloaded for free from BlackBerry Marketplace here. The app was developed using the following tools & technologies:

  • Adobe Flash Builder 4.5
  • Adobe Flash Action Script
  • Java Runtime Environment 1.6
  • Blackberry Tablet OS SDK for AIR for Windows
  • VMware Player (to run the Playbook Simulator environment)

With this release, Vishwak has released Mobile Apps for all popular mobile platforms – iPhone, iPad, WindowsPhone, Android & BlackBerry.

The game is called “Fill Words” and aimed at kids aged 3-5 to make them learn words and their meanings. Dictionary meaning is provided for every word, which makes discovery of new words fun. The Dictionary included contains over 2000 words from English (IN) Dictionary. The game has 3 levels of complexity and is available for immediate download from iTunes App Store for free.
